Our History
Arthur “Spider” Webb founded Elect-A-Van Service, Inc. in 1967 in Richardson, TX with his garage as his warehouse and a ‘64 Plymouth as his delivery van. Spider’s guiding principles were simple: offer the highest quality battery and lighting products available, along with unbeatable service, and adherence to an uncommon level of integrity. Billie, Spider’s wife, also joined the company and together, they built a leading company in the battery and luminaire marketplace.
Sons Don and Chip took over operations and in 2008, incorporated the business as EVS Supply. Don & Chip, along with a dedicated team, carried on the business’ foundational legacy and grew it to new levels of success. Most notably, the excellent distributor relationship forged with Tadiran Batteries.
In July 2019, Brett and Vickie Baker purchased the company, keeping with family business tradition, continuing to grow and expand the company to meet changing industry needs. With more than 50 years in the industry and an expert team, many of whom worked with Spider, Billie, Don, and Chip originally, EVS Supply continues to be at the forefront of industry innovation.

Brett Baker
President
Brett boasts a 35-year career in the demanding semiconductor industry, deeply rooted in customer satisfaction. He holds a BS in Engineering Physics, an MBA in Quality Management Concentration, is a Certified Quality Engineer, and is a Certified Reliability Engineer. His expertise spans leadership roles in customer quality assurance, reliability engineering, wafer fab quality, and collaborative supplier development. In his current role at EVS Supply, Brett has overseen all facets of operations, engineering, sales, and quality for the past 6 years. Under his leadership, the company achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, a testament to his commitment to process improvement and operational excellence.
